About Me

Jillian Roberts is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and director based in New York City. Originally from Washington, DC, Jillian has a B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Wesleyan University and an M.S. in Early Childhood & Special Education, Grades 1-6, from Touro College. During the day, Jillian is a certified elementary school dance teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools.  Jillian also proudly serves as a Managing Director and Choreographer of Mint Dance Company, a competitive NYC-based dance team centered around family values and hip hop foundations. Some of her additional choreography credits include The Gregory Brothers’ “OBAMA OUT // Songify the Farewell Address” music video (January 2017) and the off Broadway play “Bridget Bishop Presents: The Salem Bitch Trials” (October 2016). In her spare time, Jillian also guest teaches hip hop workshops at NYC community studios, including House of Movement and Revive 808, listens to pop culture podcasts, and fiddles with classic comfort food recipes to make them paleo.
